Lakers appeal is denied; three games will remain forfeited

The Ontario Lacrosse Association has denied the appeal of the Peterborough Lakers seeking to reinstate the three games they forfeited at the beginning of the season for playing ineligible player Scott Evans. The OLA's ruling was succinct, telling the Lakers "The appeal by the Peterborough Lakers MSL team was denied. The Automatic Fine Policy must be followed. It is the team's responsibility to manage their game suspensions."

With the lost appeal, the Lakers remain at 6-6 in the standings, rather than the 9-3 they would be had the three wins been returned to them on appeal. Brampton, Oakville and Brooklin each received one win for games they had lost to the Lakers.
